I used to be pessimistic and take my friends and family for granted. Not long ago, I lost a very close relative who died at only ten years old. Somehow, it’s made me see things in a better light and realize that life is not here to be taken so lightly. Every day is a gift to you. Don’t waste it. Don’t throw it away. Appreciate that you can see colours. Appreciate that you can hear soft sounds, loud sounds, detect tiny movements and changes. Appreciate that you can walk, move, that we live with barely any pain. Appreciate your life, even though it sucks sometimes, but because some people can’t. Because they couldn’t. There is good in anything, even if you don’t want to see it. Mistakes are good are helping you learn – and without out that ability, we would be nowhere.
I want to be better not just because my cousin didn’t get the chance. It’s the millions of people. People who die every day with no choice who leave us. We should appreciate life because we still have a chance...
